We all looked. This is Saddam. He was captured in 2005 and put in front of a blue tiled wall. Isn’t it interesting how an image can say so much about us—about them—about both of our motives?
Sometimes it’s nice to forget. Sometimes new images appear. They can add meaning; even act as a substitute or ease our discomfort at a reality we would rather not face.
But are we looking at others or at ourselves?
I like patterns. I like some repetition. Sometimes I create handmade patterns. Handmade patterns benefit from order. And deviation. Human deviation.
